One thing that does have to be strictly adhered to, is to take great care and to get the proper ingredients.

When you feel the need to cleanse your body of toxins, the lemon cleanse is simple and easy to use and doesn't require a lot of ingredients.

Lemons have been used for many years because of their medicinal quality. Due to the acidity which is found in lemon juice, it has an alkalizing effect on ones body with the lemon juice cleanse.

This detox with lemon juice and maple syrup helps to break down the mucus and body fats. This juice also contains a substantial amount of vitamin c and antioxidants, which in today's normal diet is found to be lacking. It is always best to try to buy good quality fresh lemons as these are the most important ingredient in this fasting diet juice cleansing detox.

With the lemon juice cleanse cayenne pepper is added to the lemon juice, the reason being is Cayenne pepper is a metabolizing agent that assists the juice from the lemon to create a cleansing effect within the body. Another added bonus with the detox with lemon juice and maple syrup diet is it also helps dissolve the build up of mucus.

One major effect on the body using the lemon and Cayenne pepper together is that it raises the body temperature and therefore stimulates the circulation, which helps increase the blood flow to the remote areas of the body. This is an important part of the lemon cleansing process.

Water is an important ingredient of this cleansing process as it helps rid the body of all the toxins and at the same time helps to keep the body hydrated.

The last ingredient is maple syrup which needs to be of good quality; a medium class syrup is probably the best. While doing your lemon juice cleanse, it is the syrup that helps provide the body with energy.

The syrup is rich in minerals, therefore makes it an easily digestible carbohydrate. One of the most important things to remember while doing any detox is to make sure that you drink a few liters of water a day so that the body does not dehydrate.

The lemon juice cleanse is not a bitter drink to the taste, in fact, it is a refreshing drink. But the reward at the end of the day is to know you have cleansed your body of harmful toxins with the detox with lemon juice and maple syrup diet. We take care of our body on the outside so why not cleanse from the inside with a fasting diet juice cleansing detox .

Shed more than 20 pounds in less than 2 weeks! The liver processes toxins and chemicals that enter the blood stream through our digestive tract due to diets that include fatty foods, over-eating, processed foods, sugars and chemically treated meats, poultry, fruits and vegetables. Combined with the thousands of toxins and chemicals we consume on a daily basis through the air that we breathe, illness, disease, alcohol, tobacco, illegal and pharmaceutical drugs, the body's natural detoxification will eventually begin to struggle or become sluggish.

This requires the use of detox drinks or teas in the role of a detox diet and cleansing process. A slow detoxification process is often linked to weight gain and some studies have suggested that the human body can withhold anywhere from five to ten pounds of extra weight in toxin buildup alone. These drinks are often used in weight loss management programs with some promising up to four to six pounds of weight loss.

Detox drinks are most commonly linked to being a quick remedy in ridding the body of drug/alcohol traces in the event of a drug test. When the hippie culture of the 1960's led way to the decadence of the 1970's bringing upon the "War On Drugs" of the 1980's - drug testing became more prominent in the late 80's for employment screening and background checks. Drug test classes were established decades ago, and include five specific drug groups, Cannabinoids (marijuana, hashish), Cocaine (cocaine, benzoylecognine, cocaethylene), Amphetamines (amphetamine, methamphetamine), Opiates (heroin, opium, codeine, morphine) and Phencyclidine (PCP). The current testing does not account for highly abused drugs in today's society, for instance, 'synthetic opiates', such as oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone and hydromorphone.

Drug "tests" are divided into two general groups. The first group is perhaps the most common and involves the donor giving a sample of some bodily fluid or hair to an employer, doctor, law enforcment official or a dedicated testing center. This is normally a sample of urine, blood, hair or saliva/oral fluid. The samples are collected and shipped to a laboratory in a tamper-evident seal for analysis. On-site testing became more popular when it was realized that off-site methods without supervision promoted sample adulteration or subsitution. On-site screens, such as oral or saliva tests, are done with inexpensive kits and allow for results within minutes.

The testing necessitated a very strong market for detox drinks all of which promote very fast results in emergency situations. Detox drinks are readily advertised and made available on the Internet and in drug-culture magazines. Their high demand justifies a pricey $25-$60 per bottle price range. Detox drinks typically come in the form of tea or juices in a variety of flavors. There is a focus on the user's body mass proportions with different detox drink selections available depending on the individual's height/weight.
Marketers advertise that detox drinks will cleanse the body of all unwanted toxins including the hair, blood and urine to ensure clean test results and peace of mind. Many claim to be FDA approved, full of nutrients and vitamins that promote health, well being, increased energy levels and clearer focus. It is not uncommon for detox drinks to include vitamins like vitamin C, Thiamin (vitamin B1), Riboflavin (vitamin B2) and Cyanacobalamin (vitamin B12) and blends of Creatine Monohidrate, Guarana Seed Extract, Echinacea Purpureal Leaf Extract, Goldenseal and Milk Thistle, all of which assists the body in removing unwanted toxins and pollutants quickly from the urinary tract and bloodstream to increase the likelihood of passing a drug test.

credits : Healthy detox tips

Herbal Detox

ouchh... it's a while since my last update... :(
due to my sick.. i'm sorry.. but then.. I'm back now... hehe

This is some tips on why we should use Herbal Detox

Many people from years past gave themselves an herbal detox in the spring time of the year. It was a tradition and a custom in many communities across the country. As we know by now a body needs to be cleansed on the inside just as well as the outside. Except for smell and looks, an inside cleansing of the body may be a slight more important.

Getting the body cleansed on the inside dictates how you feel and how much you accomplish during the day. If you have a healthy body you are much more apt to reach your goals and objectives each day. However, if your body is not functioning properly you can easily find yourself in a state of depression and you don't know why.

Some times it is as simple as taking an herbal detox to make yourself feel good again and to put you in a better disposition. It seems that once you have been cleansed on the inside, your whole demeanor changes. Some believe that taking herbs to clean the body on the inside is the best approach. Your body was designed to utilize natural products and will be better able to eliminate them.

On the other hand many drugs and chemical products that we take are hard to on the body. There are different herbs recommended to clean different parts of the body. Among the herbs used to detox are red beet, liverwort, birch leaves, chamomile, sage, parsley, uva ursi, ginger, goldenseal and the list goes on and on. According to folk medicine it is better to use herbs to cleanse the body because herbs are made naturally.

Today we know that detoxification comes in many forms. When we think of cleansing the body we are referring to cleansing the bowels, kidneys, lungs, the liver and the blood. Nevertheless, each herb is different so far as their usefulness in cleaning certain areas of the body. In other words there is no "one herb does it all" kind of treatment.

Therefore, if you are looking for an herb to clean a certain area of your body read the information you may find on the package to see if it will clean the area you have in mind. When you revitalize your body by what ever means you choose you are making an effort to return your body to normalcy.

Certain conditions you may have such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol may negate for you the use of certain herbs. Therefore, before you do an herbal detox make sure you know something about the herb or herbs you intend to use. Some of these herbs may raise your blood sugar and on the other hand some of these herbs are capable of raising your high blood pressure. Each one of these herbs has its intended purpose and must be used in accordance. Many people especially those who live in rural areas believe that the use of herbs is the only way to detox.

An herbal detox done periodically may be of immense value to your health. A one time cleansing will not last for forever so you will need to stay on top of things if you want to keep your system clean.

credits : Healthy detox tips

Allowed and Avoid food for detox

This is a sample list of Allowed foods on a detox diet.

Fruit

Fresh or frozen fruit.

Vegetables

All fresh vegetables. Try to cut down on the following: cigarettes, alcohol, coffee, eating foods with saturated fats and refined sugars ( cola and ketchup contains a lot ) - these acts as toxins in your body and as a hindrance to your healing development.

The use of household cleaners that are chemical - based and personal health care products such as shampoos, toothpaste, deodorants and cleansers should be reduced as well. These chemicals are inside us; we never really fully eliminate them unless going to a process of detoxification.

There are many ways to detox the body. It’s up to you to choose which suits your lifestyle and preference.

• Juice fasting

Drinking only fresh fruits and vegetables such as carrot, spinach, celery, cabbage, apple, pineapple and cranberry ( avoid citrus fruits ). An effective way of discharging toxins, it also provides loads of nutrients as well as enzymes to lessen the intensity of the cleansing process to an easy stage.

Fast weight loss is the main benefit from juice fasting. A person may drop 30 - 40 lbs on a 30 - day juice fast. By juice fasting, a person gains self - confidence and feels light and clean.

Duration of juice fasting is usually 1 - 3 days. Medical administration and careful assessment is required for longer fasting.

• Water fasting

Only water is consumed during a water fast. Water lets the digestive tract and organs to rest completely, allowing all of your energy to self - repair and strengthen damaged organs. It also eliminates toxin build - ups.

Water fasting not only eliminates obstruction and aids in self - healing, it is also revitalizing and motivating to make a fresh start.

• Gentler way to detox the body:

Here are gentler and safer ways to detox your body that you can try out or incorporate different methods as part your routine.

1. Change in diet.

Whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables instead of packaged and fast foods that are high on fats and sugar can become part of your daily lifestyle in maintaining good health.

2. Sauna.

The sauna is widely used by many cultures as a regular part of detox. It is a great method of removing chemicals buildups in fat cells. Saunas are usually combined with diet, exercise and nutritional supplements.

3. Skin brushing.

Again, with the combination of diet, exercise and nutritional supplements, skin brushing is also a gentle way of detoxing. It removes old skin cells, stimulates the lymph system and draws out toxins through the skin. A dry skin brush made of soft vegetable bristles should be used.

Before taking a shower, lightly brush your feet in circular motion towards the chest area for a minute or two.

4. Yoga.

Through breathing exercise, the bloodstream thoroughly oxygenates thus giving energy and improves the body’s physical process. Different positions lightly massage the internal organs and stimulate them to slowly discharge toxins.

These cleansing methods are just a guide to what it can do to improve your health. It is necessary to know why detox is important and understand the different ways on how to detox the body before you begin with the different programs.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Peter_Dobler

Clean up your acne

Eating and drinking vegetables is necessary for good health and for keeping your skin free from acne. According to Robb the specific combination of fruits and other natural products outlined in the diet naturally flush out toxins and their associated access pounds. The foods outlined in the diet have high water content, fiber, and natural plant-based medicines that naturally cleanse the body.

What makes this detox plan different from other fruit diets is that it includes lean protein consumed in protein drinks to maintain the body’s muscle and help burn fat.

“When you eat fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean protein for 36 hours, you go into a fat-burning mode which preserves your muscle mass,” says Robb in his book Fruit Flush 3 Day Detox.

Advocates of the diet further claim its benefits include dissolving toxins; boosting energy levels, removing toxic build-up in the liver, intestines and kidneys.

Fruit Flush Diet Plan

*It is important to ensure that protein powder chosen is free of any sugars, artificial sweeteners, or artificial flavorings or colorings. Many detoxing regimes give suggested herbs to use through the process, while other detoxing kits, such as Red Rose or Smart Cleanse, provide supplemental herbs to be consumed during the specific program. But what exactly do these herbs do?

It is important to read up on the herbs that you intend to use, as many of these natural agents are surprisingly powerful and have very different effects. Below we have compiled a list of some of the more common detoxifying herbs and just what effects and results one can expect from them.

Laxatives and Diuretics

Psyllium Seed- This is a dietary fiber that increases stool weight, promotes bowel activity and lowers LDL cholesterol levels. This herb is usually consumed in ground or powdered form, but should be consumed with a full glass of water to ensure its passage through the digestion tract into the colon.

Alfalfa- This herb is a rich source of vitamins and minerals which helps to prevent fatigue associated with vitamin deficiency. It contains dozens of amino acids and has been shown to decrease intestinal absorption of cholesterol. Chinese medicine uses alfalfa leaves to cleanse the digestive system and to rid the bladder of stones.

Yucca Root- This is an herb extract from the plant that grows in the south western deserts of the US. It treats a variety of conditions that cause pain and inflammation in the body such as PMS, arthritis and headaches. Yucca is also thought to promote healthy digestion and liver function, but should be consumed in moderation as its laxative effect could cause diarrhea in some.

Herbs that Soothe the Digestive Tract

Irish Moss-This is a form of seaweed rich in vitamins and minerals. It forms a gel internally which coats the gastrointestinal tract and inhibits the release or formation of stomach acids. This aids in the healing of gastric ulcers and helps to flush out harmful bacteria and parasites from the digestion tract as the slippery substance gives them nowhere to latch on to.

Slippery Elm Bark- This herb combats intestinal inflammation poor digestion and colon disorders. Similar to the Irish Moss, the herb when ingested forms a slippery substance (hence its name!) which has shown to soothe the digestive tract. This herb is rich and nutrients and easy to digest making it the ideal supplement when dealing with digestive distress.

Fennel Seed- This herb that is widely used in Mediterranean cuisine has many medicinal benefits. It is widely used to treat digestive ailments having shown to relieve intestinal spasms and cramping in the smooth muscle lining of the digestive tract. Fennel is thought to be a good treatment for indigestion, upset stomachs, gas pains and IBS. This herb is available in capsules, tinctures, and extracts.

Papaya Enzymes- This herb is fantastic for digestion health. It contains papain, an enzyme that breaks down protein and helps to regulate bowels and clean away dead tissue from the body.

Herbs for Liver Support

Milk Thistle Seed- Milk thistle was approved in 1986 as a treatment for liver disease. It has been proven to protect the liver against many harmful substances such as alcohol and acetaminophens (used in pain relievers). This protection is all due to the presence of silymarin which is found in the herb. This substance helps repair damaged liver cells and protects them from the penetration of toxins.

Dandelion Root- Also known as wild endive, this herb is used to treat kidney disease, indigestion and heartburn, but is most widely known for its ability to treat liver disease. Specifically this herb helps to purify the bloodstream and liver, as well as stimulate bile production.

Multipurpose Herbs

Licorice Root- This herb is most well known for its ability to heal ulcers. It lowers stomach acid levels, relieves heartburn and indigestion and even acts as a mild laxative. It is also used to combat irritation, inflammation and spasm in the digestive tract. And furthermore helps the liver function by increasing bile flow and lowers cholesterol levels. Licorice root can be consumed through soft chews, as a tea, or in a liquid extract form.

Echinacea- This is by far one of the most well known herbs used in modern detoxing regimes. Echinacea is most well known for its ability to boost the body’s immune system and fight infections. The herb does this by stimulating the production of white blood cells, thus making it difficult for infections to start.

Fenugreek- This herb has been found to help lower blood glucose levels and helps in the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It also helps to lower cholesterol; effectively treats and prevents stomach inflammation, loss of appetite and gastritis. Fenugreek can be found in capsules, tinctures and powders.

Ginger Root- This is a versatile herb that prevents indigestion and abdominal cramping. Furthermore it lowers blood pressure by improving circulation of blood flow throughout the body; and it reduces LDL cholesterol levels. Ginger is available in powders, liquids, capsules, extracts and teas.

Burdock Root- This is one of the best blood purifiers. Burdock Root helps reduce swelling around joints, rid calcification deposits, and clear blood of harmful acids. It has many nutrients like iron, inulin (a carbohydrate), and beneficial oils. Burdock can even be used as a gentle laxative. This herb can be found in teas, ointments or pills.

credits : Detox.org

Prevent Acne

Tips for Preventing Acne at Any Age

(ARA) – From sweet 16 to fabulous 40 and beyond, acne is a condition that affects almost everyone at some time in their lives. According to the National Institutes of Health, nearly 85 percent of adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24 develop the condition, and some people continue to be affected into their forties and fifties.

“It’s important to remember that acne has both internal and external causes,” says Amy Baker, founder of Nature’s Cure, an innovative health and beauty products company. “However, there are some basic precautions you can take to help prevent breakouts.”

Here are some tips from Baker for people of any age who want to keep their skin clear:

Don’t pick, pop or squeeze, or otherwise mess with your skin. Squeezing blemishes or whiteheads can lead to infection or scarring. It almost always makes the acne you have worse.

Wash your pillowcase often and always use clean face towels. Dirty towels and pillowcases can harbor bacteria and germs that can make acne worse.

Be sure to pull your hair away from your skin when you sleep.

Try to shower as soon as possible after your workout since sweat combined with skin oils can trap dirt and bacteria in your pores.

Don’t go to bed with makeup on. It can clog your pores and lead to breakouts.

Make sure to clean cosmetic brushes regularly in soapy water and throw out old, contaminated makeup.

Use topical treatments, such as Nature's Cure Vanishing Cream, anywhere that you tend to get breakouts -- don't just spot-treat existing pimples. The pore-clogging process happens two to three weeks before any blemish becomes visible on the skin.

For a more complete treatment option, there is an innovative over-the-counter remedy called Nature’s Cure. “Because acne is caused by a combination of factors, including internal triggers that can cause imbalances inside the body, and an overproduction of oil and trapped bacteria on the outside, the most effective way to treat it is by addressing both areas,” explains Baker. “The treatment includes all natural tablets to rebalance the body, and a cream that works to clear up existing pimples at the same time,” she adds.

Exercising regularly can help reduce stress and it increases blood circulation and oxygen penetration to the skin, which may help to prevent acne.

Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day to help "detoxify" the body from the inside out.

By taking these simple precautions, most people can reduce the occurrence of acne. There are also a variety of products available to help in healing or preventing breakouts. However, consumers should be careful about what they choose to use.

“Most acne prevention products either don’t work very well or have a litany of side effects,” says Baker. “Unlike other options, Nature’s Cure is a homeopathic treatment that is made from minerals, herbs and other natural extracts that activate the body’s natural defenses. Because these ingredients are in minute concentrations, they trigger the body to heal itself without side effects.” The formula is available in a male and female version. “Male and female bodies and hormonal compositions are different, and you have to address those differences when you are treating acne,” says Baker.

Nature’s Cure also offers a two-part body acne treatment that includes tablets and a medicated body spray that can be sprayed from any angle to treat hard-to-reach places like the back and neck.

  Courtesy of ARA Content

Different types of acne and how to treat scar

Different Types of Acne

Scars from acne can seem like double punishment — first you had to deal with the pimples, now you have marks as a reminder.

It helps to understand the different kinds of acne so you can figure out what to do about different types of scarring: Acne lesions or pimples happen when the hair follicles (or "pores") on the skin become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. A plugged follicle is the perfect place for bacteria to grow and create the red bumps and pus-filled red bumps known as pimples.

Acne comes in different forms:

mild acne, which refers to the whiteheads or blackheads that most of us get at various times

moderately severe acne, which includes red inflamed pimples called papules and red pimples with white centers called pustules

severe acne, which causes nodules — painful, pus-filled cysts or lumps — to appear under the skin

Most serious scarring is caused by the more severe forms of acne, with nodules more likely to leave permanent scars than other types of acne.

The best approach is to get treatment for acne soon after it appears to prevent further severe acne and more scarring. If you have nodules, see your doctor or dermatologist for treatment.

Treating Acne Scars

Most of the time, those reddish or brownish acne marks that are left behind after a pimple eventually fade with no need for treatment. Picking or squeezing acne can increase the risk for scarring, though.

Depending on how severe the scars are, a doctor or dermatologist may suggest a chemical peel or microdermabrasion to help improve the appearance of scarred areas. These milder treatments can be done right in the office.

If you have serious scarring from previous bouts with acne, there are some things you can do. One form of treatment is laser resurfacing, which can be done in the doctor's or dermatologist's office. The laser removes the damaged top layer of skin and tightens the middle layer, leaving skin smoother. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. The doctor will try to lessen any pain by first numbing the skin with local anesthesia. It usually takes between 3 and 10 days for the skin to heal completely.

Another method for treating acne scarring is dermabrasion, which uses a rotating wire brush or spinning diamond instrument to wear down the surface of the skin. As the skin heals, a new, smoother layer replaces the abraded skin. It may take a bit longer for skin to heal using dermabrasion — usually between 10 days and 3 weeks.

The newest form of treatment for acne scarring is called fractional laser therapy. This type of treatment works at a deeper level than laser resurfacing or dermabrasion, Because fractional laser therapy doesn't wound the top layer of tissue, healing time is shorter. Fractional laser therapy is quite costly, and it's not usually covered by insurance.

Sometimes doctors inject material under the scar to raise it to the level of normal skin. Finally, in some cases, a doctor may recommend surgery to remove deeply indented scars.

A person's acne will need to be under control before having any of these treatments.

One thing you shouldn't do to deal with acne scars is load up your face with masks or fancy lotions — these won't help and may irritate your skin further, making the scars red and even more noticeable.

If you have a red or brownish mark on your face that you got from a bad zit, it should eventually fade, just like the scars on your knees from falling off your bike as a kid. However, it may take 12 months or longer — so your best bet is to avoid these kinds of marks by not squeezing or popping your zits, no matter how tempting it may seem.

credits : teenshealth

Treating Back Acne

The Secrets To Treating Neck Acne

Neck Acne Requires a Different Approach Than Facial Acne
Most of us are familiar with acne and have a good sense of how to treat it, but few of us know how to treat neck acne. Acne can occur on many areas of the body including the face, chest, shoulders, back, buttock, and even the neck. Treating neck acne requires a different treatment approach than other areas of the body.

Less Is More
Many of the over-the-counter acne products that you see advertised can be used to treat neck acne as well, but there is one important difference. When you treat neck acne, you need to apply products sparingly. The neck is a very sensitive area. Feel the skin on your hands. Now, feel the skin on your neck. The skin on your neck is more delicate than the rest of your body because it is thinner. If you use full strength acne products on neck acne, you will very well likely irritate your skin.
The difficult thing about neck acne is that it can be exacerbated rather easily. The neck can easily trap sweat underneath it which can make neck acne worse.

Once and Only Once

Do not apply acne products to your neck more than once per day to start off with. If you have incredibly sensitive skin, start by using acne treatment creams once every other day. Gradually increase to using acne cream once per day. Make sure you moisturize your skin both in the morning and in the evening. So many people forget to moisturize their neck, and if you are applying a benzoyl peroxide cream to your neck acne you will definitely need to use a moisturizer.

Many individuals who have neck acne also have facial acne, but if you only have neck acne it is obviously easier to conceal in cold weather climates than facial acne is. Neck acne can be concealed relatively easily by wearing turtlenecks. Females who wear makeup can also apply some facial makeup to their neck acne to provide a bit of coverage.

Credits : AcneMythsEtc

Cure Acne

Cure Acne in 3 days!
Herbal Acne Cures! The Acne Cure!

The market is littered with "cures for acne". However, if you ask any dermatologist or medical researcher, they will tell you a cure does not exist. While Accutane does provide long term remission for some patients and an argument could be made that it approaches an "acne cure" in these cases, you will not find a cure on the Internet or in the back of a magazine.

Since there is no cure for acne, your time is better spent looking at how to treat and prevent acne. In my experience, benzoyl peroxide is the best over-the-counter medication for preventing acne. But with benzoyl peroxide, as with any other acne medication aside from Accutane, you must be deliberate and steady and follow an acne treatment regimen until you grow out of acne naturally. Prevention is the key.

For a free, non-commercial acne prevention regimen, visit the Regimen pages of Acne.org.

Note: I think the human race would be better off without it, and with today’s knowledge and technology, I think it’s possible. I am spending most of my time researching at this point, delving deeper and deeper into how the pore works on a microscopic level and then researching possible ways to interrupt the acne process within the skin. I am always looking for interns to help me with this process. If you are passionate about research, meticulous, and a good communicator, please feel free to contact me regarding internship opportunities.

Credits : Acne.org

Acne Myths

             Acne Myths

Myth #1: Acne is caused by poor hygiene. If you believe this myth, and wash your skin hard and frequently, you can actually make your acne worse. Acne is not caused by dirt or surface skin oils. Although excess oils, dead skin and a day's accumulation of dust on the skin looks unsightly, they should not be removed by hand scrubbing. Vigorous washing and scrubbing will actually irritate the skin and make acne worse. The best approach to hygiene and acne: Gently wash your face twice a day with a mild soap, pat dry--and use an appropriate acne treatment for the acne.

Myth #2: Acne is caused by diet. Extensive scientific studies have not found a connection between diet and acne. In other words, food does not cause acne. Not chocolate. Not french fries. Not pizza. Nonetheless, some people insist that certain foods affect their acne. In that case, avoid those foods. Besides, eating a balanced diet always makes sense. However, according to the scientific evidence, if acne is being treated properly, there's no need to worry about food affecting the acne.

Myth #3: Acne is just a cosmetic disease. Yes, acne does affect the way people look and is not otherwise a serious threat to a person’s physical health. However, acne can result in permanent physical scars--plus, acne itself as well as its scars can affect the way people feel about themselves to the point of affecting their lives.

Myth #4: You just have to let acne run its course. The truth is, acne can be cleared up. If the acne products you have tried haven’t worked, consider seeing a dermatologist. With the products available today, there is no reason why someone has to endure acne or get acne scars.

Credits : AcneNet

Small facts about acne Part II

Who gets acne?

Believe it or not, nearly everybody in the world gets pimples. When the body shifts into higher gear and puberty begins at the age of 12, hormones start taking over. It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman. It doesn’t matter where you come from and who your parents were. I have never heard of a person who had stayed blemish-free in all the years of his or her life. Whether it’s food or pollution, something is bound to upset your hormonal balance sooner or later.

More than 40 percent of all teens develop cases of acne severe enough to warrant medical treatment. Most cases are usually solved without the need for fancy treatments, although more than one trip to the doctor is required. However, modern medicine has produced a wide range of prescription and over-the-counter products to help people deal with their acne without unnecessary pain.

However, not all acne cases can be treated quite that easily. Acne comes and goes on its own, between the age of twelve and twenty-three, but some people develop severe forms of acne, while others get acne for the first time as adults. This is mostly the case for men. Because of the higher level of androgens in their systems, men are far more likely than women to suffer from acne. In women, acne is associated with their fertility cycle and the hormonal changes it entails.

While most cases of acne are confined to the facial skin, most of the people suffering from this condition experience at least the occasional blackhead or pimple down the arms, on the back, the chest or even on the buttocks.

The social impact of acne is huge. The unpleasant sight of pimples makes many people run to the near drugstore or pharmacy because of the perceived influence acne has in social relations. Every year, hundreds of millions of dollars are spent every year around the world on anti-acne products by people on five continents.

Give body acne no chance

Acne is a common skin condition featuring pimples outbreaks on the body and facial skin. Many people develop acne on the chest, shoulders and back, which can sometimes be the first inkling to the emergence of more severe forms of acne. The severe forms of acne are painful and can only be treated with drugs under the supervision of a dermatologist.

People suffering from mild or moderate body acne, we heartily recommend the Clear Pores System. Hard to treat cases are better left to a dermatologist’s skills, although ClearPores is certainly up to the task. The best way to treat acne is to cleanse the skin with a solution containing Salicylic Acid and SD Alcohol 40. The Clear Pores body and face washes contain these two excellent ingredients, which are accompanied by the well-known Aloe Vera to soothe the skin and help the healing process, Dandelion Root and Yellow Dock.

Despite recent scientific investigations, researchers are still in the dark about what causes body acne. You best option is to avoid anything that could cause or worsen your acne. Keep your facial and body skin clean every day and be careful not to trigger acne or rashes by wearing very tight clothing or heavy backpacks. If you feel your clothing, backpack or purse is causing you skin problems, then start thinking about alternatives.

Neck acne is known among professionals as a difficult proposition. The skin on your neck is one of the most sensitive areas of your body. It needs more moisturizing and care from you than, say, your back skin. However, Clear Pores can take care of acne even on your neck and is also gentle to your sensitive skin.

Women and Acne

Men and women are very different creatures when it comes to hormones and the entire system of psychological and physical effects deriving from it. One good example for this statement is acne. The accelerated hormonal development in boys almost always results in acne, but this is not the case for girls. Women often develop acne for the first time in their 20s or even later.

Of course, the fertility cycle and the hormonal changes it triggers throughout the body is often the cause of sporadic acne outbreaks in women, although the exact process is poorly understood at this moment. High levels of androgens are the likely cause for premenstrual acne, since it is known that androgens regulate the oil production in sebaceous glands. The more androgens around, the higher the risk of clogging pores with excess sebum.

Women have less chance of developing the kind of acne that plagues men, but they also have a harder time getting rid of it. During pregnancy, women suffering from acne must get by with topical treatments recommended by their doctor and are not allowed to use drugs. Birth control pills are a common way of treating acne, since they interfere precisely with the hormonal cycle and serve to rein in acne. However, the use of any kind of pills to treat acne should be supervised by a doctor.

One of the best methods for getting rid of acne is the ClearPores System. This amazingly effective system uses deep washes, pills and creams to cleanse your pores, kill bacteria and protect your skin against renewed attacks. It’s really the perfect choice.

Credits : Disable World

Small facts about acne Part I

What is Acne?

With all this talk about acne, we might as well try to define the condition a bit.

Acne is the commonly used name for pores clogged by sebum (also known as whiteheads and blackheads), pimples, nodules or cysts that can appear on the face, neck, shoulders, chest, back, upper arms and upper legs.

Most teenagers and a good number of adults suffer from acne for more or less extended periods of time. The condition is not confined to any age group, race, or sex. It affects hundreds of millions of people across the world. The biggest problems with acne are the unpleasant look of pimples and the scars they may leave behind.

Types of Acne

Although pimples are by far the most common form of acne and the one most people are likely to encounter or suffer from, you should known that there are other forms as well. The simplest form is acne vulgaris, which features only comedones, the simplest of lesions.

Lesions are small patches of skin affected by acne, although the term “lesion” is not restricted to the changes produced by acne in skin tissues. Acne lesions are the external form of comedones, the sebaceous follicles plugged by excess sebum.

Comedones are known as blackheads and whiteheads, depending on whether the pore is open or not. Blackheads are pores whose distended openings are blocked by a mixture of keratin and sebum that is blackened at the surface. Whiteheads are closed pores filled with the secretion of the sebaceous gland that swells underneath the tissue.

Comendones are the usual target for picking and squeezing. However, opening a follicle in the less than sterile conditions of your home is likely to result in a slight infection. An open pore is an entry point for all kinds of bacteria.

Papules – The papule is a small, solid usually inflammatory elevation of the skin that does not contain pus. Very small papules can also appear in clusters, due to the tissue’s response to acne.

Pustules – Pustules are small inflamed elevations of the skin that are filled with pus. The pus is a combination of bacteria, white blood cells and dead skin cells. Pustules are usually formed around sebaceous follicles and hair.

Maculae – A macula is a red spot on the skin left behind by an acne lesion. Maculae are flat, red and stand out against the surrounding skin. A group of maculae gives the face an inflamed aspect.

Nodules – The nodule is a solid lesion, one of the most painful lesions caused by acne. Nodules tend to extend into the deeper layers of the skin and are known to lead to tissue destruction. They can be very painful to remove and leave scars behind. Nodular acne is a severe form of acne that is treated only with isotretinonin.

Cysts – Cysts are lesions shaped like capsules and contain liquid or semi-liquid pus similar to that found in pustules. However, cysts are larger than pustules and can be infected. Cysts are also extending deeper into the skin and leave scar tissue behind. Nodulocystic acne is probably the worst type of acne known to man. It is resistant to treatment and responds only to isotretinoin, the substance obtained from Vitamin A.

--to be continue--

Credits : Disable World<div
